in the Nick of time

Nick Fox Geig couldn't escape our grasp so easily this year, in spite of hiding across the ocean. In Populous Odoriffic Valleyshag ("ridiculous!") Nick's pieces The Foxhole Manifesto and I Wanna Be Famous are confirmed, signed, sealed, delivered and partitioned. Yowza!

Islanded

Kristine Barrett is showing her epic Islanded by fields. Beautiful is too weak a word to describe it. Breath-taking. Pristinely Oceanic Visions.

The Return of the Jedi

Michael Trigillio has been at it again- and such a wonderful Philistine Orgiastic Voyage IT is.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, this much is certain. Take a peek:

The Norman Conquest

Norman Teale delivers the goods with his short One Second Line Day demanding answers to such universal questions as "Why is animation?" "When is music?" "Is there a dog in heaven below?"
I can say with Plutocratic Obstinate Veracity, "We'll find out."
Thank dog!

the Plaintif Objects Vicariously

The press release for our little soirée in the afternoon reads as follows:

The second installment of the POV Bay Area Animation Festival returns anew this spring and not a moment too soon. The offerings this time include some doings by a few familiar artists as well as new works by some abject strangers to POV- all united in their endeavors to create animations instead of indulgence in "extreme sports or massive drugs." What could be more exciting? The gorgeous spread this time serves up some mighty delicious flavors ranging from stop-motion to hand drawn movies; computer generated sonatas to wtf?! monstrosities. Co-conspirators include Sarah Klein, Scott Kimball, Michael Trigillio, Sean Clute, Kristine Barrett, Nick fox-Gieg, Tim Scott, The Norman Conquest, Ri Crawford, and some known unknowns that we still can't consider as known but we certainly know who they are. Intriguing. This year is a matinée, Sunday, March 25th @ 2:00 pm at the Parkway Theater (1834 Park Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94606. www.picturepubpizza.com) and costs a mere $5.

More from Sarah Klein- Hooray!

Party girl indeed! Sarah Klein is improving on her 100% participation grade by contributing her hilarious satire... Party Girl- to this year's collection.
Let's all indulge in some Pristinely Obscured Valuer! I for one can't wait!

Scott Kimball enters the room!

In Pointillistic Orange Vegetarianism, Scott Kimball has added his stop motion epic, "The Magic Show" to our festivities.
Look:The artist says of himself: "Scott Kimball is a Bay Area native with many creative outlets: stop-motion animation, graphic design, illustration, bronze casting, photography and others. He lives in Berkeley with a girl, a cat, two snakes and a whole bunch of Micronauts..."
